In the modern seafood exporting industry, maintaining the peak freshness and native nutritional profile of newly harvested ingredients is vital. At TML Seafood's premium processing factory, the Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) system is fully deployed, meeting rigorous testing regulations from the US, EU, and Japan.
What is IQF Technology and why is it superior?
IQF works by sending separate seafood items (individual shrimp, fish fillets, squid rings...) through an ultra-low temperature freezing tunnel operating between -35°C and -40°C, combined with powerful vertical air streams. The process is completed in just 5 to 15 minutes.
This rapid heat reduction ensures that ice crystals formed inside the muscle cells are extremely small, avoiding cell wall puncture. As a result, when thawed, the seafood experiences zero biological water loss, preserving its sweet firm texture and active vitamins perfectly.
International Standard Closed Processing Flow
Our IQF processing cycle comprises highly managed quality checkpoints:
- Harvest & Sorting: Live seafood is quickly iced and sent to our factory for instant microbiological checking.
- Preparation & Shaping: Cleaned with sterile cold water, peeled, deveined, or sliced under strict temperature-controlled rooms.
- Hyper-Speed Freezing: Placed on conveyors going directly through the -40°C chamber.
- Ice Glazing: A micro-thin layer of purified frozen water is sprayed onto the surface to defend against oxidation and freezer burn.
- Packing & Cold Storage: Packed in secure cartons and stored in cold storage rooms monitored at -18°C to -22°C.
Through these advanced IQF lines, TML Seafood reliably delivers the ocean's premium freshness directly to family tables globally.
